Sinacon is located in the beautiful coastal city of Qingdao in the Shandong Province. In 2008, Qingdao was the venue of the 29th Olympic Summer Games for Sailing. Since then, it is regarded as one of the world’s sailing cities. In January 2011, Qingdao has become the second biggest port in China, handling a hundred million tons of cargo. Therefore, the State Council ratified a blue economy plan on the Shandong Peninsula, naming Qingdao its centre and guiding city. Quality Of Life

climate

Qingdao’s proximity to the sea and its relatively mild climate are the main reasons why it is a renowned resort.

Low temperatures and breezy nights lure visitors from other Chinese provinces and cities, where it can be 5 to 10 degrees hotter in July and August. The average temperature during the summer in Qingdao is 25 C.

Sandy beaches are a stone’s throw away. This distinguishes Qingdao from another northern Chinese coastal city called Dalian, where the coast is rocky and further from the city center.

A city of eight million, Qingdao was built right on the sea, so walking around downtown means one is never far from the ocean.
